When Earth Bears Metal:

Navigating Perimenopause

ꕥ Embracing Our Autumn Years

A 6-Week Immersion w/ Kris González

What have you been taught about (peri)menopause?

This natural life phase is pathologized within dominant culture. Most of what we hear about is all the things that go wrong. The night sweats, hot flashes, mood swings, brain fog, fatigue, menstrual cycle changes, migraines, weight gain, and the list goes on and on of all of the horrible things that await you.

Perimenopause is an unraveling and a rite of passage much like puberty and parenthood. And, like any journey through these rites, it can be full of chaotic change, feelings of dread, loss of control, and hopelessness.

Watch the Free Talk:

Demystifying Perimenopause

Through the Lens of Chinese Medicine

*This free talk was held on Tuesday, Sept 24th at 11am PT from participants from all over the world. It will be up and available for a limited time so be sure to tune in!

2024 Enrollment is Now Open!

A 6-week online immersion where we'll check in and connect with our perimenopausal bodies through the holistic and practical lens of the Five Elements. We'll fill in the gaps of our individual and collective womb continuum stories, build a context for deeply understanding our felt experiences through this rite and learn practical ways to support ourselves through community care.

Rites are celebrated cultural frameworks for understanding major life events that we all go through. Usually, these milestones foster a sense of renewal and transformation. They mark a new beginning. So then, why is (peri)menopause not celebrated? Why is it seen as a disease process rather than a cultivation and empowerment process?

Half of the population will take this journey. It is part of the womb continuum. Have you ever wondered why this natural life progression is denaturalized and laced with labels of degeneration?

Ready to Reframe and Reclaim?

The first thing we must do to change and reframe the dominant narrative is to reclaim this rite. Most of us turn in the other direction when we hear the word “perimenopause” or “menopause”.

We need to own it!

Yes, our journey might not be all rainbows and butterflies, but neither is any other rite of passage. There will be a sense of loss. There will be lots of turnover and change. There will be bumps in the road. And, there will be gained wisdom, a clear sense of purpose, of self, and a new landscape that enriches our inner world.

We Will Learn About:

  • We will tap into a remembrance of just how connected we are to nature. We will feel into how our inner rhythms are a microcosm of the seasons and the elements.

  • We will listen and tend to what is calling our attention. Within the framework of the 5 Elements, we’ll visit the spirit of each organ and tissue system to see what messages are there so that we can have a clearer direction of where to put our energies. We will also inhabit our bodies with movement and self-tending practices.

  • Our journeys will be very different from one another. As we move through the 5 elements, you will be able to tune into what your unique set of needs are through this journey. You are the expert of your body and the tools you will learn during our immersion will help you to deepen that relationship.

“The most impactful part of this program for me was how down to earth, simple, natural, and familiar the group felt, and the content was -- it felt demystified in an empowered way that I wish for all women during perimenopause. Kris’s peaceful presence, ease openness, and joy is the best guide through these somewhat strange unknown waters of perimenopause.”

“The most impactful aspect of this program for me was the deeper integration on a personal level. I loved Kris’ gentle feminine energy and the informative material she provided. The two most notable benefits I've gained from this work are the embodiment of my womb energy and self-care knowledge. As an acupuncturist myself, being in receiving mode was a refreshing experience within this work. It's truly an enriching continuation of my personal and professional path.”

A Golden Opportunity! Kris opens a door into the rich and juicy land (yes it can be wild and succulent) of Perimenopause. Kris has an abundance of experience and knowledge which is reflected through her sharing. I love her artistic and thoughtful flare as she brings the strands of Chinese, Western and Ayurvedic Medicine together empowering women through shedding light and literacy on this important Transition All of us Move through. Kris's work is a blessing for womankind.

“Transformative! I am in my 20's so am not quite at perimenopause yet, but this course gave me the tools for how to prepare my body for an easeful transition. In addition, my clients who are in their 40s have all been asking me to learn about perimenopause because no one is talking to them about it, and now I feel like I can fill that gap!”

“When Earth Bears Metal. Truly enough cannot be said for this course and our beautiful guide Kris!! Kris guides this course from an embodied state and gently invites us into a place of self-agency and provides the instruction for this to happen. I would highly recommend this course to those that bleed of virtually any age as the course content is not only about perimenopause but also about the wholeness of our beings. I will be using the content of this course throughout my metal years and beyond! Thank you so much Kris for sharing your journey and your experience through this course, for it is needed to restore balance within my life and the world ..... as i love to hear you say "Deep Bows"

- monica lou

“This was a wonderful course. Kris just oozes yin energy, showing she embodies what she is teaching. This course is a useful guide for anyone going through perimenopause and for practitioners supporting women through this transition. Thank you for your depth and clarity, Kris!
