Qi Tonic

Make this energetic tonic ahead of time and store it in the fridge. Use 2 cups in place of water for your morning oatmeal or porridge.

It's important to boost and regulate your qi (energy) before your period; pre-menstrually. Start off your pre-menstrual mornings with this oatmeal recipe for 4 days. Our tonic pack makes 8 cups good for 4 servings.

Good for other times when you are feeling low on immunity or when you want to increase vitality.

Tonic pack Ingredients: Astragalus root, Codonopsis Root, Honey fried Licorice, Goji Berries

Cooking Instructions:

Set goji berries aside. Rinse tonic pack herbs and place in a pot with 8 cups of water. Bring to a boil and immediately reduce the temperature to simmer. Cover with lid slightly ajar and cook for 45 minutes. Strain the tonic into a 2-quart glass container and cool it off before storing it in the fridge. 

In the morning, bring 2 cups of tonic, 1/2 cup oatmeal, 2 tbsp goji berries, a handful of roughly chopped almonds or walnuts, and a pinch of salt to a boil. Immediately lower the temperature to simmer and cook for 10 minutes. Sweeten to taste and enjoy!
